Waine is the former COO of iMentor, a national college-readiness non-profit. He also served as a mentor to NYC high school students for 10 years. Most recently, he switched careers into software development and has built mobile and web apps in the education- and consumer-tech sectors. Prior to entering the education sector, he spent nine years in the financial services sector. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University.
Luis founded the Autonomous Vehicle Club at City College of New York, and led development of the university’s first autonomous vehicle (coding in Assembly and C). In recent years, he has designed and deployed cloud-based travel applications for product management and booking. His sister is a public school teacher in NYC. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Kit is a Leadership Coach at TNTP. He was the founding Principal of a high-performing elementary school in California that was part of the Rocketship network and began his career teaching at Firstline in New Orleans. Kit has also worked as VP of Partner Success at an educational software startup. He earned an undergraduate degree in public policy at Princeton and an MA in school leadership from Columbia Teachers College.
Diego leads recruitment of school leaders and faculty for the campuses of Avenues: The World School around the world. Prior to Avenues, Diego led talent and recruitment at Harlem Village Academies. He began his education career through Teach for America, led experiential education programs through Putney Student Travel, and was Program Officer at American Jewish World Service. He earned undergraduate degrees in religious studies and jazz studies from Indiana University and an MPA from NYU.
